Venice is breathtaking, but overtourism has changed the experience.

Around St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge, enormous crowds can make exploring difficult. Restaurants, hotels, and gondola rides can also be expensive. Visiting early in the morning or outside peak season provides a much better experience.
