The Little Mermaid is a small bronze sculpture sitting on a rock beside the water in Copenhagen.

It was inspired by the famous story written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. Although the statue is not very large, its peaceful pose and beautiful seaside setting attract visitors from around the world.
