Kamilo Beach is sometimes called “Plastic Beach” because of the massive plastic waste that washes up here.

Ocean currents bring garbage from all over the Pacific Ocean, making this beach a dumping ground for marine debris. The once beautiful beach is now covered in plastic bottles, fishing nets, and other trash.
