]The Italian region of Trentino is getting in on the action, offering to pay people 100,000 euros to relocate there.

But, naturally, there are some significant caveats.  The region is open to paying both Italian residents and Italians living abroad to move to the area and renovate an abandoned home, providing grants of up to 80,000 euros for renovation and up to 20,000 euros for purchasing the property.
The specific amount would equal up to 40 percent of the expenses incurred for purchasing and renovating properties. To get this deal, you must promise to either live in the home for a decade or rent it out to a local for the same time.
