Founded by the Phoenicians around 1100 BC, Cadiz is considered the oldest continuously inhabited city in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe.

Situated on a narrow slice of land surrounded by the sea, Cadiz boasts over 3,000 years of history. The city’s rich heritage is reflected in its ancient watchtowers, the Cádiz Cathedral, and the remnants of the city walls.
