5North Yungas Road, Bolivia

Known as “Death Road,” the North Yungas Road in Bolivia is one of the most terrifying roads in the world.

It stretches about 43 miles through the mountains and has no guardrails. The narrow road has a nearly 2,000-foot drop on one side. Heavy rain and fog make it even more dangerous. Many vehicles have fallen off this road, earning it a deadly reputation.
