5The Holy Trinity Monastery

Nestled in the lush green mountains of northern Thailand lies the ancient city of Chiang Mai, home to over 300 Buddhist temples.

One of the most revered temples in the city is Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, which was built in the 14th century. Perched atop a hill over 1,000 meters high, this temple offers stunning views of the city below. To reach the temple, visitors must climb a staircase of 309 steps, adorned with intricate Naga serpent statues.
